Scholarships & Awards

At Alexander von Humboldt (AvH), we celebrate students who demonstrate excellence, leadership, creativity, service, and integrity. Each year, our scholarships and awards recognize students whose achievements, contributions, and character enrich our school community and reflect the values of AvH.

Friends of AvH Scholarship for Values and Excellence (Grades 1–8)

Honours a student who consistently embodies AvH’s values through their learning, character, and everyday actions. Open to students in Grades 1–8, (this scholarship complements the long-standing Rolf C. Hagen Scholarship).

Rolf C. Hagen Scholarship (Grades 9–12)

Recognizes outstanding achievement and exemplary character through the generous support of the Hagen Family Foundation. Open to students in Grades 9–12.

Lecchino Leadership & Community Service Award (Grades 7–12)

Celebrates student leaders whose dedication, initiative, and service make a meaningful impact within the AvH community and beyond.

Dr. Heinrich Steinle Memorial History Award (Grade 10)

Honours a Grade 10 student who earns a perfect score – or the highest mark – on the provincial History of Québec and Canada (HQC) examination.

AvH Visual Art Award (Grades 11–12)

Recognizes a senior high school student whose work demonstrates exceptional creativity, technical skill, and a distinctive personal vision, reflecting the transformative power of art.
