Germany Trip

Whether still in the future and eagerly awaited, or already in the past and connected with a myriad of fun memories, the trip to Germany has become a rite of passage for students at AvH.

The destination varies and is determined together with the homeroom teacher. Previously, classes have traveled to cities like Heidelberg, Berlin, and Munich, as well as smaller towns like Straubenhardt in the Black Forest, Brunsbüttel close to the North Sea coast, and Mühlacker in Kraichgau.

The students stay with German host families for almost two weeks, gaining valuable insight into the daily lives of families in Germany. As many of our students don’t speak German at home, this is a particularly enriching experience for them.

The last days of the trip are spent together at a student hostel, promoting a strong sense of team spirit and co-operation within the class.
