The Friends of AvH are delighted to present the Friends of AvH Prize for Values and Excellence. This prestigious award recognizes a student who truly embodies the spirit of AvH’s values, as outlined in our Mission Statement. We are seeking candidates who not only excel academically but are also well-respected by their peers, teachers, school staff, and the broader community. AvH’s Mission Statement, accessible here, elucidates the school’s commitment to nurturing global citizens—individuals who embrace roles as explorers, artists, athletes, worldly citizens, environmentalists, and contributors to their communities.
This scholarship is open to all students in grades 1 through 8, complementing the long-standing Rolf C. Hagen Scholarship, which has been generously awarded to an outstanding student in grades 9 through 12 over the years, thanks to the benevolence of the Hagen Family Foundation.
The recipient of the Friends of AvH Prize will be granted a scholarship valued at up to 50%, to be awarded in the subsequent academic year. Additionally, the top three finalists will be presented with a certificate of recognition.
